Where I've Been and Where I'm Going.
Compared to a lot of people, it may seem as though I haven’t seen a ton of the world. I am however lucky enough to have spent a portion of my childhood living overseas which I credit my open-mindedness and craving for new and different things. Admittedly, from high school on, I took the planned route. I graduated, went to college, moved across the country, and got a job. You’d think...

Gap Intern/Travel Advice
Having been fortunate to have travelled with Kerri, she is not satisfied with being a spectator in foreign places. Instead she makes it her business to be an active participant in local culture and activities. As a result she fits in wherever she goes!!! Her love of technology means she continually has a camera in her hand making her a valuable guardian of precious memories. It is a bonus that she...

Two things I know, and a whole lot I don't....
There are very few things in life that are a certainty.  I actually know very little about the world. (I’ll never admit that in public.)  Every time my feet touchdown in a new country I find myself hoping there will be someone along the way that will help me invigorate and energize my adventure. When I travel, I do everything I can to get right down into the heart and soul of a country and...

well, it's true.
nedhepburn: what’s unbelievable is that you forget there’s a whole other world outside of paying rent, brushing your teeth in the morning just to brush your teeth at night standing in the same place, going to work, coming back… there’s a whole other world. but this trip itself really has changed my perspective on life, and the knowledge of the rest of the planet, and who else is on it. i...

Applicant Kerri.
This blog, other blogs like it and GAP’s intern inbox are destined to be filled to the gunwales with missives about how much Applicant Alice or Aspirant Alex just loves to travel and wants nothing more than to see what’s lurking in the four corners of the world, just waiting to surprise and delight them. So here’s what makes Applicant Kerri special: If you’re lucky enough...

Kerri would make the best intern!!!
So I’m posting because I can’t think of anyone more creative, smart, funny, stylish and traveled-crazed then Kerri Minns. She would be the ideal person to work for Gap Adventures. Best Travel Advice: Visit art galleries….they are a sometimes forgotten part of a trip to another part of the world. Local art is incredibly refreshing and a real insight to a culture’s current...

Best Travel Advice
Pack an empty shoebox in your backpack.  Sounds strange, but you will be reducing the amount of unnecessary items that you’re bringing, lightening your load and most importantly making room for local souvenirs that you pick up along your route.  It’s important to support the local economy of the places you visit.  This is my way of doing just that.   Thanks for donating to Planeterra....
