a wanderluster

Submit   KERRI. A wanderer. Advertiser. Creative. Smart cookie. Awesome. Passionate. Writer. World’s Best Grilled Cheese Maker. Coolhunter. Marketer. Thoughtful. Totally geeky about brands, consumers, culture & new media technologies. All things that I think that Gap Adventures’ chief guy Bruce Poon Tip would want in an incredible intern, and why I am totally the right fit for it. I’d like to be a part of a progressive, growing and global minded adventure. After having traveled with Gap, I know this is the place, and would love the chance to work for a company I am continually inspired by and have wanted to be a part of for a very long time. So, populating on this page are the reasons why I think Bruce and Gap Adventures should pick me to join the team.

EDIT! I'm happy to share that I was chosen as one of the two interns!

EDIT! Through site submissions and supporter count, I was able to donate over $100 to Planeterra by Oct. 31. The amount was matched by Gap Adventures and will support 25 different community sustainability projects. Thanks everyone!

Day 13 - Mumbai

Get into Mumbai suburb of Bandra at 6am. Ride the yellow and black mini taxis through the city to our hotel in trendy Colaba. Pass by the Dharavi Slum, Asia’s largest, and have to cover nose because of dirty, rotting fish smell. Freshen up in hotel room and head to Cafe Mondegar for breakfast. 45 minutes after I order, am informed the grill is not working. Walk to India Gate which is unfortunately covered in scaffolding. See the great Taj Hotel and Palace and all the great colonial architecture in the city, surrounded by palm trees. Hire a cab to Victoria Terminus, the main train station in Mumbai  which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mail postcards. Drink a Kingfisher. Go back to hotel for a nap. Cab over to Chowpatty Beach and Marine Drive. Eat mexican in India. Cause a commotion in a dress on the beach. My shoulders! My ankles! Take tons of photos of bright colours, rides and food. Walk along Marine Drive smiling and waving at those staring. Have a cocktail on the roof of the Intercontinental Hotel, called Dome. Stare at the city and the string of streetlights called the Queen’s Necklace. Go to Cafe Leopold for drinks. Go to Cafe Modegar for more drinks and singalongs to the jukebox playing 80’s and 90’s hits. Get sick and hang onto my bed for dear life all night while body ejects unhappy food.
